Bald Eagle
(also called "fish eagle")
  • United States national symbol.
  • Body length 28 to 38 inches; weight 7 to 14 pounds; wingspan 6 feet to 7-1/2 feet.

  • White head and tail at 5 years.
  • Lives in North America near large bodies of water such as rivers and lakes.
  • Favorite food is fish (alive or dead). Will also prey on ducks, geese and rabbits. Will eat carrion (dead animals).
