Northern Illinois Raptor Rehab & Education picked up these Barred owl babies; 1 last Sunday, 1 Monday and 1 Tuesday. They fell out of a nest (cavity in a tree) in Rockford, Illinois. The people at 2 residences did not see or hear the parents at all but heard the owlets crying for food. All 3 babies were dehydrated and very hungry. Once they are more stable (all 3 are just about completely self feeding), they will then be placed with our female foster Barred owl who will raise them.
